I don't know where I came from or how far I'm going to go, but I'm driving like it's stolen and when I crash I'm going to stand up from the burning wreckage and look back on my life and say "let's do it again".

I like to have my blog contain mostly original stuff by me because I'm tired of all this reposting from someone who reposted it from someone else. If we can't have originality, then what are we?

Working Less

How much of our lives do we sacrifice to pay bills and buy more stuff? For most of us, work means sacrificing our freedom to take orders from someone else, stress, boredom, monotony, and in many cases risks to our physical and psychological well-being.

Once we realize that it’s not a few bad products or a few egregious companies responsible for the social and ecological abuses in our world but rather the entire system we are working in, we begin to realize that, as workers, we are cogs in a machine of violence, death, exploitation, and destruction…”

The black flag represents the absence of a flag, and thus stands in opposition to the very notion of nation-states. In that light, the flag can be seen as a rejection of the concept of representation, or the idea that any person or institution can adequately represent a group of individuals. The uniform blackness of the flag is in stark contrast to the colorful flags typical of most nation-states. Additionally, as a white flag is the universal symbol for surrender to superior force, the counter-opposite black flag would logically be a symbol of defiance and opposition to surrender.

We found a discarded newspaper bin and decided to bring it back to life.  Murdered out in matte black, full of zines, and ready to be placed on the street.  First of many.

This is so cool.
